The Throwdown of the Year: LionBall 2026!
Posted on 02/19/2026

Last night’s Jockey Hollow LionBall Tournament truly lived up to its reputation as THE event of the year! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, the tournament raised $2,458.00 for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

The gym was packed with students, families, and players, and the atmosphere was amazing. We are beyond proud of the 300+ students who attended and represented Jockey Hollow so well. Their sportsmanship, behavior, and respect for the event were outstanding. It was also wonderful to see so many parents in attendance supporting both their children and this meaningful cause.

A huge thank you to all faculty and staff who volunteered their time to help make LionBall such a success. From line judges and dodgeball rackers to crowd control, your support is what allows this event to run smoothly year after year.

A special thank you to Stephanie VanDeventer and Jim Legnard for their continuous hard work to make this tournament another huge success!
