Dear 5th Grade Parents,
Even though your child is still several months away from entering middle school, it’s time to start thinking about the transition. While the majority of students in sixth grade attend Jockey Hollow, there is a team of students that attends The STEM Academy. On November 13, you will have an opportunity to learn more about your child’s middle school options.
Please plan to attend a presentation on the Jockey Hollow STEM Academy and Jockey Hollow School on Thursday, November 13, 2019, at 7 PM in the Jockey Hollow auditorium. During this presentation, you will learn more about the curriculum, schedule, and culture of middle school. Specific information on The STEM Academy and what makes it unique will be shared with parents. Additionally, our curriculum leaders will discuss trends in middle school learning.
This presentation is designed to be informational and helpful. We hope that all parents can attend. We look forward to seeing you on November 13 at Jockey Hollow.
