8th Graders Head to Hartford
All 8th grade students from both campuses recently traded their desks for democracy on a field trip to Hartford, where they explored Connecticut’s government and state history.
At the Capitol Building, students toured the historic halls and had the opportunity to meet CT State Senator Jason Perillo and State Representative Tony Scott. Both took time to speak with students and answer their questions, giving them a firsthand look at how our state government works.
Students also visited the Museum of Connecticut History, where exhibits and artifacts helped bring the past to life and deepen their understanding of Connecticut’s story.
It was a wonderful learning experience and a great opportunity for students to connect with their local representatives and see civics in action.
