*Lion Ball Tournament*

On Wednesday, February 19th, the Jockey Hollow LionsBall Tournament raised an incredible $2,344.75 for the JoAnn Supan Memorial Scholarship Fund. The stands were packed with students, parents, and players, and the energy was electric!

We are beyond proud of the 300+ students who attended. Their behavior, sportsmanship, and respect for the event were nothing short of outstanding.

This year’s champions were the LiAngelo Ballers, a 7th-grade team that dominated the winners' bracket all night. Congratulations to James and Gabby Ely, Sarah Beckett, and Roman Roche on their victory!

The Best Dressed award went to the Pet Zebras, an 8th-grade team that showed up looking like Patrick Mahomes and his infamous “team of officials.” It was easily one of the most creative costumes we’ve seen in the past six years! Shoutout to Mo and Elena Granta, Max Mienel, Olivia Fanning, and Gavin Brito for their creativity.

This spring, Ann Odoy and her staff will select four deserving Masuk seniors to receive the scholarship. The recipients will have a clear educational and career goal, a passion for making a difference, and a desire to pursue a degree in education. They must also demonstrate academic excellence, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and show a need for financial assistance.

2025 Lionball Tournament

On Wednesday, February 19, 2025 Jockey Hollow Middle School will hold its 6th Annual Fundraiser Event from 3:00-6:30 pm after school.  This event is open to all 6th, 7th & 8th grade JH and STEM students.  The cost for participation is $50.00 per team/$10.00 per player.  Spectators and parents are welcome to come watch the event. We are requesting a $1.00 donation at the door.  This year's proceeds will go to the Pete Simoulidis Scholarship Fund.

Lion Ball is a game in which two co-ed teams consisting of five players (2 boys/3 girls or 3 boys/2 girls) try to eliminate each other from play by throwing a “gator skin” ball at their opponents.  The team that eliminates all its opponents’ players wins the match.
There will also be an award/prize for the best dressed team; so appropriate costumes/outfits are strongly encouraged.
This year we will be donating all proceeds to the
JoAnn Supan Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Permission Slip to participate is linked to the left - spots are limited so get it in!
