Lionball Tournament
On Wednesday, February 21, 2024 Jockey Hollow Middle School will hold its 5th Annual Fundraiser Event from 3:00-6:00 pm afterschool. This event is open to all 6th, 7th & 8th grade JH and STEM students. The cost for participation is $50.00 per team/$10.00 per player. Spectators and parents are welcome to come watch the event. We are requesting a $1.00 donation at the door. This year's proceeds will go to the Pete Simoulidis Scholarship Fund.
Lion Ball is a game in which two co-ed teams consisting of five players (2 boys/3 girls or 3 boys/2 girls) try to eliminate each other from play by throwing a “gator skin” ball at their opponents. The team that eliminates all its opponents’ players wins the match. There will also be an award/prize for the best dressed team; so appropriate costumes/outfits are strongly encouraged.
